Program Resource List

Based on a number of requests that we have received, MRPA is now in the process of creating a new program ideas resource list, which includes a number of new programs that you can consider running in your local communities. The activities on this list come from Parks & Recreation Departments from all over the United States and are broken down into category by population served.

The bulk of these programs were compiled by Darren Hurley from the Dublin Ohio Recreation Department and Jennifer McMahon from the Largo Florida Recreation Department as part of a presentation they made at the 2007 National Recreation & Park Association Conference in Indianapolis titled “The Good, The Bad and The Ugly”.

If you have a great program idea or know of a web site that you would like to see added to the list, please send an email to jwhalen@massrpa.org with a complete description of the program and how it was run, population served, as well as any other relevant details. Please also include your contact details in case someone would like to use your idea but has questions. We will then add your program to the new master list.
